Powering Up

Our church, along with several other churches in town has sponsored a Power Teamevent, and so we are right in the middle of it, being responsible for helping with the assemblies at the schools, as well as what they do at night at the High School. The phone at the church this morning rang off the hook. If it wasn’t Gordon calling, it was someone for Gordon. Or someone needing me to do something, or… plus then, of course, the regular normal phone calls we would get on a typical day.It is a 5 day crusade. I don’t know if I will attend all 5 nights, but I will go to the majority of them. What they do is amazing. But what is even more amazing is the message, and how they get the schools on board with it, even though it delivers a Christian message.I don’t think we are going to camp this weekend. We won’t be home tomorrow night (Friday), because we’ll be at the school for the Power Team. Ethan has to work 8:30-12:30 and then back at 4:30-closing on Saturday. And we don’t know what his schedule is for Sunday. So, he wouldn’t be there for breakfast, or supper … and even though I love camping, I’m not sure I want to do it all by myself. Even though we have a family reunion planned for the next Saturday, which is Labor Day weekend, we could still drag the camper out to the lake — I’m pretty sure other family members will be camping that weekend as well — sleep out there Friday night, attend the reunion Saturday, and then still camp Sunday and Monday. That would work. But I just don’t think its worth the effort to do it this weekend. And there is alot of things that should be done at home. I need to work on them, and then be able to camp the next weekend, guilt free! Sounds like a plan to me.

Hello..sorry but I have not stopped by in awhile. Been busy with this new job at CURVES and then a lot of everything else too…Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! I love camping but have not be able to go for some time now. The next long weekend that we get we have painting to do here inside. We have a lot of it to do. NOT my favorite but you know!! Hey babe, glad to know you are alive and well, just busy with living like the rest of us. Hope you were able to go camping. It’s been so hot here that I’m waiting for fall for camping.

Hi Carolyn, We get to go for about a week! It’ll be a blast. I plan on taking lots of photos, too. Go to my mom’s travling grams site. We will be uploading picts and stories from our trip there. Thanks for the high praise about my site. My sister, Karen, helped me with the header and the graphics on the side bar. She’s a multimedia designer and I’m a photographer, hence the graphics and pictures :)Everything has been wahshed, cleaned, and packed. Well, except my stuff. I’m a bit of procrastinator, but I have gotten everybody elses stuff done. It will be a fun trip.

Hey, there!!! Long time, no visit!!! Sorry…we’ve been kind of busy, and it seems the days just aren’t long enough some days.
We started “official” schooling last week for Malachi. He did FANTASTIC, if you ask me!! And this week hasn’t started out so bad either, grade wise!!!
Family reunion? Uh, oh…looks like we missed it. Hope there wasn’t anyone there that really missed us….*L*
I wish I could do some more paid entries…*pouts*…Oh well, it will come, I guess. Patience is a virtue, they say.
We’ll be around…thanks for the note!!! We LOVE ya LOTS’n'LOTS’n'LOTS and even more…and Grandpa David too and Uncle Ethan too!!

Sorry I haven’t been around much…*LOL* I complain about no one leaving me notes, but takes me forever to get around and note everybody..*LOL*..
*pouts* I planned on taking the girls to the Power Team, but totally forgot about it until the last night, after it was already half over!!!
