Even though I think he played a couple of seasons when he was little, you won’t find any soccer trophies in Ethan’s room. However, you will find numerous medals for vocal and band, for drama, for forensics, one acts, etc. That is where his true passion lies. We went the T-ball route when he was little. But, he was one of those little kids who was more interested in playing in the dirt than watching what the infield was doing. He did do swim team for several years, and received several medals from that, but his heart really wasn’t in it. Singing. He loves to sing. I knew that when he stood of an organization that is primary ladies (older ladies at that), 500 or more in number, and sang his little heart out. I think he was 11 or 12 at the time. Needless to say, he stole their hearts, and the stole the show (well, talent contest). My mom was a part of this organization, and she was just burstin’ her buttons with pride. That was HER grandson. There are times I wish he were more of a “jock” — because he would be out there, being physical. But, God gave him a talent and he is using it to glorify God, so who am I to argue? (grin).
