Springing
Do your reading habits change in the Spring? Do you read gardening books? Even if you don’t have a garden? More light fiction than during the Winter? Less? Travel books? Light paperbacks you can stick in a knapsack?
Or do you pretty much read the same kinds of things in the Spring as you do the rest of the year?
For the most part, my reading habits don’t change in the Spring, other than, I probably read more. In the winter, I often fall into depression, and even reading become difficult. But once that warm weather makes it way into our part of the world, I am open to doing things, soaking up information, and reading! Plus, with spring and summer, we camp alot, and there is no internet access, so this is also a great time for me to catch up on my reading!
As far as what I read … it used to be, just whatever caught my eye at Walmart or at the grocery store. But, as a reviewer now, its just a matter of finding that balance between the challenges I have decided to participate in, as well as the Reviewer committments I have made. I don’t request any books that I don’t think I”ll read, so often, its just like, closing my eyes, and what I pick up is what I read. They ALL look like great reads!

Sorry about the winter depression. I don’t have quite that problem but I do react to a lack of light and so when the longer days come round it seems like a real gift. I hope you enjoy your summer reading.
My daughter lives in the Pacific North-West and talks about the winter blues. But honestly, you can have too much sunshine!
Me, too - I get terribly depressed in the winter, when the days get so short. But I find reading can usually perk me up even on the nastiest days!
Love your “Reading Challenge Addict” sign.

I love your header picture. It is so sweet and yes, serene.
My reading habits don’t change with the seasons. I read pretty much the same stuff all year round.
