I wish I could convince David to get a treadmill. He wants to go up to the rec center, which, yes, they have treadmills up there, but. Everyone who is up there is slim and trim, and thats how they stay that way, by working out on the machines and looking good while they are doing. What if you aren’t slim and trim. And walking across the house sends you into a “need oxygen” mode. Yes, there are some other things wrong with me, but David just chalks it all up to the weight issues. He doesn’t want to accept the embarrassment and humiliation I feel going up to the rec center and attempting to be like everyone else. Which — just. does. not. work. Having a treadmill in the privacy in our home would be a good start. But, the rec center machines are “free”. In his mind, its a no brainer.
