Blessing In Disguise
One thing I like about working in a couple different offices is the different things I can buy for each office. At both places, I have been able to convince the “bosses” to buy promotional products — usually ink pens with our name on it. I really like the ones we just recently got for the church. They are the fat pens, and just feel good in your hand. Ordering them actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Our ladies’ group always buys a gift for all the mothers on Mother’s Day and fathers on Father’s Day. They decided on pens this year, and this one lady was in charge of getting them. Well, her brother died that week, and the next week, her neice was diagnoised with cancer, and had surgery for it the next day. Needless to say, the pens didn’t get purchased. We had ordered these pens with the church’s name on it — but had really had a set idea of what we were going to do with them yet. So, the ladies’ group bought 75 of them for Father’s Day’s gift. Worked for us!
